Do violent lyrics cause violence in society?

Hello again!!!!

I no see that no less than 8 people have looked at my profile... This is great news for me I am feeling like my word is spreading! Not such good news for intelligent folk out there!

Anyway onto todays subject. I was looking on yahoo and the above question was asked, Do violent lyrics cause violence in society? The answer, to my mind at least is a simple one..... YES!

No doubt about it, no doubt in my mind AT-ALL. Now I am not saying that it is the only cause of violence, alcohol, poverty, stupidity, frustration, crack, money etc all contribute to it. But let me explain why I feel violent lyrics cause violence, I assume the article meant Hip-Hop, but I think Death metal and such things also have violent content, but since I dont listen to or like that stuff I wont comment.

Hip-Hop is a form of music that really does appeal to young men, it applies to our worst side, the ID, if we were to apply Mr Sigmund Freud(I think thats the right guy) and his rather strange ideas to this. It is the ultimate in macho. I want something I take something, you try and stop me I beat you up or shoot your arse. I f*ck untold fine bitches who I openly insult and treat with contempt, but they still come back for more. Its the worst of men in musical form! Now, MOST people have the intelligence to realise something important, its just music and should not be taken seriously. SIMPLE, its just entertainment. It may be in poor taste but still, entertainment(I will confess that I love hip-hop, well, the period between 88 and 96, since then... not so good). The problem lies in those people who are just a little bit dim witted or poorly educated. Those who listen and believe that all these rappers actually do what it is they claim to do!

The problem is the phrase or notion of "Keeping it real"..... Dont rap about what you dont do. But no one wants to hear someone rhyming about sitting in business meetings and getting your hair braided or smoking and playing PS2 all day, its not exciting. Hip-Hop is escapism, Hence those guys who talk all day long about Bling, money and Hoe's selling well, how many of us can relate to that????. So rappers make up stuff and say they are real. We all know that kids look up to their heroes and try to emulate them. When footballers behave badly and abuse referees, kids do the same thing! So when kids hear rappers talking about selling drugs and fighting and mis-treating women..... YES, OH YES, they will do the same thing...... Its an obvious pattern! I really don't know why people try to deny it! You can apply it to all role models. Good or bad.

When you consider the number of boys growing up in single parent families, without a father figure, the influence, negative influence, of music can become more pronounced! These are their male role models AND heroes... consider that single parent famlilies tend to be most common within the poorer working classes, then consider that drug use, and therfore the sale of, can be seen as an escape from that drudgery and you begin to see how music can premote a certain lifestyle to young men, that lifestyle includes violence!!!!!!

It never excuses violence, never. But it does beign to explain it. we all make our choices, but rememeber that some people are more poorly educated than others and do not see all the choices before them!

Its not hug a hoody, no. Its, give a child a good education, books to read and hope for the future and he may never pull that hoody on. That way all the violent lyrics in the world will only be viewed for what they are..... Entertainment!!!!!

Disappointed....

... Yeah you catch me on a bad day today... Someone I know told me a bad lie. I knew it was a lie when she told me, but me being me(lilmoonbeam) I took her word for what was obviously, upon coherent reflection, not true!

I have a bad habit of giving people the benefit of the doubt, I almost always trust what people say when they tell me things. This is just because I think people have no reason to lie!!! I know its stupidly niave, but I would rather not live my life as an ongoing moment of suspicion. I guess really I am only fooling myself cos there are alot of tricky folk out there who have weird agendas. Maybe its cos they have been hurt and can only see things from a strange perspective, or maybe its just cos they are not nice people!!!! It is sad... A dude I used to be friends with, not anymore cos he was one of those not nice people, said of the women we(men) meet and date, that we are "sifting thru the trash". Looking for the good ones... Well that statement is true and can be applied to would be friends too(oh and ladies you can apply it to men...). I dont wanna do that tho!!! Why cant the bad folk just stick to other bad folk and leave those of us who just want to smile and have some chicken to ourselves???

Well, thats all for this installment of my thoughts.. gonna go back to readin girl with a one track mind.... That Women is WILD!!!! I wonder if she is with someone nice now??

By the way I will write something on that another day... on the idea that women taking on the worst behaviours of men is indeed "Feminism" or just girls behaving badly....

I been out with my boys and had some drinks... and I ALWAYS want some when I had some drinks, but if I have been smokin on that dro????? DANG my appetite is off the hook... nothing can stop me... and thats how I am feeling right now... INSACIABLE... Maybe I can get me some S.F. the go by C.S. and get some of that hot spice...... damn.. I feel dirty sometimes. Dunno if I will ever be able to shake these feelings off... but after... My fingers will taste GRREAT...

I just been to my mums house for the day and I am going past C.S. I want some of that sweet titty in my mouth and some of dat thigh too.... Well i had no choice.. C.S. saw me and those come hither eyes just pulled me in... I am smelling my fingers on my way home and I got that smile on that everyone knows.. they all know I got some, I am sure I got some juices on my face still. I feel dirty again! But its the sort of dirty that lets me sleep well... I want that feeling all the time...

C.S. isnt about S.F. is miles away... so my mind turns to T.P. I know its early but I am gonna be feeling THAT feeling later on.. its been 2 days now... and Much as I love C.S. and S.F. having them too often will put me orf. Too much of any one good thing can be unhealthy!!!! I try to be careful when I get with them, try to be resevered and not be too greedy, but I CANNOT stop, they taste so good... feel so good, once i have them on my lips I want them and they want ME... Not to be boastful, but I can have them all when I want... I could have them all in one day... BUT how do I justify that??

This thought stays with me all day...

T.P. Just got here.... I flung her onto the floor and began playing with her... I looked longingly at her as I opened her top... MMMMMMMM DANG.... I think I dribbled on her... her box, all wet... I love that.. It smells so good!!!!

this is simply a prediction...

The bank that began charging its worst off customers £10 a month to have a current account is simply the begining... Right NOW the idea is that if you are fortunate enough to be earning MORE than £1,500 after tax wont have to pay First Direct the fee... but to all you self centred arseholes who feel secure in the knowledge that "I put in more than that so it wont affect me..." Rest ASSURED... in time you WILL be charged. It is merely the begining... let me explain...


First Direct, I believe, is a subsidiary of HSBC, who are pretty big in the UK I understand. The banking world have put their heads together to see if it is possible to get away with charging people for current accounts and this is simply the first step.

First Direct were the chosen bank because the number of their customers that will be affected are relatively few. Less than 10%. What they are doing is relying on the time honoured middle class tradition of not giving a f*ck about anyone but themselves, British society is based on what I call(and probably many before me) a hierarchical Pyramid, the haves at the top pushing down on everyone else, squeezing as much money out of ALL of us as they can. (Oh by the way invert that pyramid for wealth, actual work done and common decency, the ruling classes are sons of b*tches... trust me on that, or not... always draw your own conclusions) As you go down the pyramid you get to the middle classes, who by their very nature like to look down on the working class AND also like to step on to keep down. After-all what is the point of a pyramid without its base? And if we are all equal who do we have to look down on????

So what I am saying is that the middle classes who for now this doesnt affect will happily sit by and watch the poorest people be charged a levy simply for being worse off(Its f*cking disgusting if you think about it) cos they dont think it will apply to them, but it will in time. Gradually the amount you will have to be paying in will go up and up and pretty soon all but the very richest will pay a charge for a current account at First Direct. By then the charge will have spread throughout the nation. In no more than ten years we will ALL be paying these RICH banks a charge to have a current account......

Bare in mind that banks make money off YOUR money, then give you a TINY percantage of that which they make!!! SO in effect they are charging YOU a levy for making THEM money......

Think this over for a bit cos this is what it is and what will happen... trust me......

BAD, BAD news.. Hip-Hop is dead....

OK maybe a melodramatic thing to say but really have you been listening to Hip-Hop for the last few years.. It started with Dre leaving Death Row, If Suge wasnt so hellbent on painting himself as THE gangsta and just let the guys who made the music make the headlines they would probably all still be making music there, Tupac was killed, Snoop Left Death Row and started to sound camp, Kurupt and Daz had a falling out and that was the end of Tha Dogg Pound. The West Coast just died on its feet right there... Death Row WAS the West and bottom line is Suge f*cked it up!!!

Over on the East Coast... Biggie was killed. Allegations were made that Suge Knight had something to do with it. I dont know if its true, but if it is, then Suge killed killed ALL of Hip-Hop. Putting an end to both West and East...

Once Biggie was dead you only really had the Wu Tang Clan left on the east.. There were no more BIG stars left.. Thats when the likes of Jay-Z started to push to the fore. Now I have always thought that while Jay can certainly write clever lyrics(or just think them up cos he dont write em down) his actual MCing left ALOT to be desired! His flow makes me think that he is a dude complaining all the time.... WACK!!! Flow wise, or I should just say vocally, there are lots of better MC's than Jay, its just his lyrics and pop style music are a real seller. And lets face it he makes Pop Rap... Most Hip-Hop these days falls into that catergory and as for the Dirrty south?????? UTTER SHITE..... real crap.... Sorry, but it is rubbish! I wont actually take time to name a one of them cos they are all lame, the odd good tune per rapper, per album isnt really good enough is it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hear alot of people stirring, well I dont cos I know not a soul reads this Blog! They are thinking that Jay is the greatest rapper alive... well that he may be but if most of his contemparies are cack then thats no real boast at-all... anyway, let me not forget Eminem. Now he is again a gifted writer and makes reasonable tunes, tho alot of it sound like he did them on a contempi keyboard at home, but his over reliance on dissing his mum is just WEAK to me. His albums have too many fillers and he has already burned up all his material! Plus his voice is annoying after a while, he sounds like he has a cold, very nasel(I am sure I have misspelt that nose thing...)

I have to mention a favourite pair of mine.... the infamous MOBB DEEP!!!!! Check out the Infamous and Hell on Earth... Two of the Banginest LP's of ALL times! Heavy, HEAVY beats and some cold blooded lyrics... you could make a top notch greatest hits album of just the two LP's I mentioned there. But time seems to dim alot of MC's and the Mobb are no different, when they dont have anything and are on the grind(whatever that means) they have more feeling and a rawness that has feeling, plus when you are a kid you believe your own hype, but as time went by the quality of their Albums has fallen away! The NAIL in the coffin came from New Yorks newest and most annoying cat, 50 Cent, A dude with his head WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY up his own arse! This is another guy who can right superb lyrics but has a cack voice with no feeling in it. He is another one who makes pop music. the best thing rappers can do is make the music then not tak to the media, cos when they talk so much shite that you cannot help but hate them! He is the BEST example of this... and I cant forgive him for getting Hav and P to say G-G-G G-un..... oh man I just cant type it.. that hurt.. Hav and P take 50's money and quit the game..

A word on the rest of G-unit B LL CKS... fill in the blanks yourself!

Now onto the Game... this guy can rap, has good music and so far... I say SO FAR... hasnt chatted too much shite in his interviews. I wil try to avoid reading anything he says. He is coming with a new album soon so wewill see what he has got... but even if it is a great one, Hip-Hop is on its last legs....

Lots of folks now think it is cool to blow people up, themselves and any innocent people around them! They use Islam as justification for their actions... this does their cause no good, and certainly doesnt help God or his image.... Bombing the English is totally counter productive, it merely strengthens our resolve.... (that actually does baffle me, how can English Muslims not know this??????)

But I am going to say this... For generations western politicians have meddled in Middle Eastern affairs. They have installed dictators such as Saddam, removing them only when they stopped doing the bidding of the west. Saddam had FIVE attempts at a millitary coup, FIVE!!!! all of which were sponsored by..... THE C.I.A. Yup!!!!!! That is FACT!!!

The U.S. has funded a military coup in EVERY African nation that has declared independance.... FACT...

Perhaps for the first time ever there is a genuine national debate about foreign policy, Tony Blair will forever deny that OUR foreign policy has contributed to the spread of Islamic extremism, to do so would be an admission of culpability! Therefore they would have to DO something.....But let me assure you, FOREIGN POLICY IS A DIRECT CAUSE OF TERRORISM!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you really think that people would wake up one morning and decide to "martyr" themselves for NO reason at-all????? That is not simply stupid, but an example of burying your head in the sand that even the most foolish Ostrich would shy away from. WE HAVE stirred up the giant oil barrel that is the the Persian gulf, for decades.... The violence we are seeing now is simply that hot oil splashing all the way from Iraq to the Tubes and buses of London!!!!!

Now I AM NOT condoning violence... EVERY LIFE IS PRECIOUS!!!!!! EVEN SADDAMS, even his. But I now understand that without the bombings in London and in Madrid people in Western Europe would not be talking about foreign policy as a cause of terrorism... which it IS!!!

Still anyone who deliberatly kills another human being, especially if they are an innocent, is commiting a dispicable low act.

We in this world will be moving in the direction of civilisation when we realise that ALL life is precious.... ALL of it... an Iraqi life is not worth less than an American life, nor is an Israeli life worth more than a Lebanese life. But as yet we dont think that, the Israeli bombardment of Lebanon the deaths of so many innocent men women and children, the death toll in Iraq is reported as a problem(600,000 plus and still counting), but not nearly as big a problem as the death toll amongst those sweet sweet American "Boys"(3,000) . Further we still kill each other hand over fist or just sit back and watch as one people slaughter another people... Darfur ring any bells? how many dead there so far...2 Million? What has the west done????? F*ck all!!!

So all I am saying is this... the hatred of all things western, the hatred of western people, the desire to blow up innocent people, is misplaced... it is our LEADERS who are to blame, often the people didnt know what our Governments were getting up to. But the trouble is the likes of Tony Blair will EVER be secur, when he retires he will have a team trained to stop any assasiantion attempts, so he can plant his head in the sand and ignore the truth, happy in the knowledge that he is SAFE..... Add to that the fact that we always vote for these liars and thieves time and again.. The Tories are not better than Labour!

Back to my point... Its wrong to kill... its even MORE wrong to kill in the name of God!!! But if you have seen you people suffer because of Western powers and you realise that your voice will not be heard... WHAT can you do to make those people who have influence listen?????

Tito B and the Case of the disappearing WMDs

Good day faithful reader!!!

I am about to take you back a few years, then forward in time, just like Doctor Who, no not the Chinese doctor... the guy with the Tardis and a string of female assistants that he NEVER gets to romp with... Thats why I turned the role down in the first place.. well when I learned it would be Billie Piper as my sidekick I wished to romp no more, but still its the principle that counts... If I am saving the earth every week, I want to have my way with an assistant or three..

that's my terms... take 'em or leave 'em.....

Anyhow back to Tito B. Tito B. is the code name for Tony Blair. I used to work in a call centre in West London, for the Carphone Warehouse, when Tito came to visit(I wonder if all "dignitaries" think the world is clean? I am sure that it was the only time that the call centre was properly cleaned. It doesnt matter if the place is untidy when its just the staff, after all who cares about them??? "sir" Charles Dunstone doesnt...knighted for services to his own pocket and probably loans to the labour party....Maybe....). Anyway, Tito came and went shaking hands with people, apparently he has a POWERFUL grip, gave speech then moved on! The reason I mention this is because I was also working there when they decided to invade Iraq, siting the 45 minute WMD's as the main reason. At the time, although I didnt really see what harm those rockets could do to the UK I did agree that Saddam IS, soon to be was, a bad bad man... Bad meaning Bad, not bad meaning good!

But whether or not they could kill people here is not the point. Did he have the capability to deploy these WMD's in his own region??? Latterly we find out that he really DIDNT have the WMD's, more than that we discovered that our GOVERNMENT knew this(do not blame the security services by the way, its not their fault that they were instructed to come up with the lies that enabled the war... wether or not the should have done it is open to debate) then Tito B LIED to us about the existance of these weapons to justify a war.

That leaves us with a couple of questions... WHY did they want to attack?

Simple answer to that... Beating up on Afghanistan was not enough for the Americans to regain face after 9/11.. their macho self image was disturbed. Add to that the presence of oil in Iraq( I Digress for a moment.... OIL is the SINGLE biggest reason why Iraq has been an issue to western nations for nearly 100 years... go check it out... the Brits kicked out the Ottoman Empire to get at the oil prior to WWI, World War one, and planted the seed of the baath party, Saddams Party!!!! And have been meddling ever since!!!). Last, but by no means least, apparently Saddam had plotted to kill Big Gee Bizzle(George Bush senior), as if a gangsta like Gee Wizzle will let that ride... HELL NO!!!!!!!

Could it be because Iraq under Saddam was defying the U.N. and its resolutions????

Erm, No cos Israel defy UN resolutions at least as frequently as Iraq did, but they are literally allowed to get away with murder time and again! And anyway, the US and the UK, flat ignored what the UN wanted when it clashed with their plans, Hans Blix wanted MORE time to search, the US and UK wanted to invade, so what happened? The Coallition started to interpret what the UN where saying. Hans Blix said we need more time.. the coalition goverments told Blix that what he meant was that we should invade and look for these WMD's at OUR leisure!!! Another little fact is that the Americans were talking about invading Iraq PRIOR to 9/11.... (Now my theory on that is the Americans had some prior knowledge of what was about to happen but let it go as it would give them the excuse they needed to invade Iraq... note how quickly Bush started linking Al-Queda to Iraq, when the truth is that Osama and Saddam were in no way friends... Osama used to criticise Saddam for living in such luxury while he, a pious man it would seem, lived in caves and little huts... plus Saddam tried make fun of Osama being so tall and having a soft voice when they were training at despot school... which happens to be just North of London! )

The other question, is this, did they simply have the desire to remove a bad man from power?????

First thing to say that the United Nations Charter does NOT allow regime change by use of force.... Though if you notice Gee Wizzle is now talking as if that was the plan all along. And I dont seem to recall them forcing other BAD men out of power, Robert Mugabe bein a good example of this.. so that COULDNT be the reason!

Anyway once the decision to go in had been made we have another question........

Could removing saddam really be so bad????

Since Saddam was ousted the level of Violence in Iraq has been unprecedented! 1,500 people are dying each month in Baghdad alone.... 1,500 If the Americans suffered such loses in two months they would cut and run so fast you wouldnt even hear the chinooks taking orf.....

Is this level of violence something the "Allies" could have forseen???

Well I wanna go back a little way in history to a guy I used to work with who was an Iraqi Kurd. He hated Saddam, naturally, but said that you cannot kill him as it would result in civil war, he told me of the make up of the country, the War Lords, the religious divisions... Now he was a regular guy who KNEW that removing Saddam would cause trouble galore... How come Tito B and his half witted boss Gee Wizzle(George Bush Jnr) didnt know this when an everyday dude from London did?

Now Either Tito B and Gee Wizzle are totally incompetent(MMM, Many could believe that!!!) Or they simply did NOT care about the level of violence the Iraqi People would suffer...... I cant say for sure but.... which would suprise you least? I think you should decide for yourself!

Either way, Iraq will be on the agenda for at least another 10 years, Tito B's Legacy(why is this word being used all the time now???) will be the eventual million-plus dead Iraqi people. The escalation of terrorism throughout the world. And yet more people feeling that you simply CANNOT trust the government! Watch for the continued decrease in voter participation...


Saddam Hussein has been tried and sentenced to death(I dont agree with the death penalty by the way, put him in jail and leave him there, state sponsored murder is still murder). But Tony Blair should also be tried(Bush too) for their part in the deception that sent us to war. Their part in turning good young men and women from this country into murderers. I want to say that the soldiers are simply doing their job, its NOT their fault that Blair and Bush and heartless Liars who are happy to send other peoples children off to their deaths or to return brutalised, Blairs boy should have been the first one into Baghdad and should still be there too.. but no WAY would Tito risk his boy, no sir... but YOUR kids?!? thats FINE!!!

The ruling classes still see the working classes as fodder for their use on their path to enrichment....

Yes it had to happen....

I love Football, the game of billions. I am a Liverpool Fan. I love Stevie G, Robbie Fowler, Carra, Xabi Alonso, Luis Garcia, Big Sami Hyypia, Crouchy, Momo etc....

There is something spiritiual about supporting the Merseyside Reds.. Alot of people call me a glory hunter, Cos I am from London. But If you have been a Liverpool fan for the last 15 years the glory has been in rather short supply. No I just love the fans, the team colours and the history. Most of all I love the banners the Liverpool fans make... No other Fans in the world can match them for Originality, Humour, Poetry..... Those fans LOVE their club, OUR Club.

When I was Little no one in my house liked football, so I had no history to look to when I realised that I liked football. At 5 years old I had no idea where Liverpool was in relation to my house!!!!!!! Whats LOCAL????? If your local football team is your dads pub side why dont people support that instead of a professional team???? Its all about glory hunting... EVERY fan!!!

So I just smile when I get that Glory hunter call.. Simple, I just did what all kids do, agree with the people who are around you(same as when your dad takes you to football and you are MADE to support HIS team).... All the other Kids supported Liverpool, so did I... well, when I was asked I just said that... I had no clue that they were the "best" all I knew was that I had seen some football on TV and found it exciting.

Its a kind of stupid snobbery when people say you are a glory hunter... I like watching teams play nice football.. Arsenal play beautiful stuff, so do Man U... And when I was young, Liverpool played the nicest football to watch... simple... I wouldnt have followed them if they played ugly football....

Football at its best is GLORIOUS indeed... Exciting, Nerve wracking, Emotional, Tense, Sad... Its why it is THE game... I love my cricket and Rugby too, but football is the best!!!!!

I want to know who told all these people they could use my name huh? Lilmoonbeam I mean... Not too long ago I put the name into a search engine and found NADA!!!!! Now, these fake beamers are EVERYWHERE.....

What should I do about this... Can I track them down and MAKE them give it up? Should I hire hit men? Or should I welcome them as part of a family of Lilmoonbeamers. Where once he was a lonely, only child, he now has siblings ALL over the world..........mmmmm.......... What to do????

I will not kill the biters, in fact, I welcome you, one and all.. I know we are just the best people in the world, bringing love and joy to all those around us... So I would like all you Moonbeamers to leave a message of love and support for the very FIRST Lilmoonbeam.. I will endeavour to reply to you all... maybe we can start a movement, No I am not starting up the Sesame Street Warriors again... the gang violence is all in the past... But a movement that will bring the world to peace and harmony..... Lets see if we can do it!!!

Veils...

Hey... Just wanted to say something on the subject of veils......

If a women wants to wear one it is cool.... As long as it is her choice.... But let us be clear on this...

IT IS NOT A RELIGIOUS CHOICE!!!!!! The Koran does not instruct a women to wear a veil....

The Veil is a cultural thing not religious, I do not believe that the Veil is anything other than a particular cultures own way of oppressing women! All religions do it because religion is largely cultural, or even counter-cultural, depending on the origins of the religion! Catholics have some nonsense reasoning as to why women cannot be ordained, I dont know what it is but I am sure it will have its grounding in the bible, a story or parable that has been inturpreted in such a way as to keep men in positions of authority at the expense of women!! Even today you hear of women not being paid the same as men for doing the same job!!!!!!! We in the West keep women down by objectifying them... Girls see themselves in a poor reflective light due to this! But the point is that it is about oppressing women.

So the debate SHOULD have been instigated, but the actual tone of it had nothing to do with the rights of women more about using the British publics innate prejudice as a means of drawing attention away from other issues... a sort of "Veiling" if you will... I am sure this "debate"( conducted in daily papers in a really ignorant fashion, once again pandering to the biggot in people.... Amazing that in what we call a free country 98% of people who responded to a questionaire thought we should BAN veils...... HUH?!?!?!? BAN them.... havent we been claiming a democracy of late... well lets be honest we dont live in a democracy, which is why fewer and fewer people vote.... you can replace the politician, but you cannot replace the political paymaster.... witness the cash for Honours investgation... the real scandal in this is that they have been caught out, it has gone on and will continue to do so for the forseeable future).....but yeah this "debate" will continue to take up media time while the issue of the day, poor education services or British foreign policy will go largely unnoticed cos a veil has been drawn to cover the inadequate excuses of Tony Blair has for lying about Iraq and plunging the poor people of that nation into a complete bloodbath, there will be no victory in Iraq.. Too many innocents have died for anyone ever to claim that!

Of the point I go again... But I re-state.. the veil is an issue for women. Do they allow a tradition that is there to oppress women to continue or do they feel it is no longer an oppression and simply a choice in sartorial elegance! Cos like I said it IS NOT an expression of religion! If they CHOOSE to wear the veil then fine, just understand that people do find it strange and probably wont approach a women to speak with her if she is fully covered, but like I said that is the purpose!!! To keep women seperate!!!
